This fall, our senior acting students present Alice by Heart, a heartfelt musical from the creators of Spring Awakening.
Inspired by Lewis Caroll’s timeless classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, a teenage girl and her ailing best friend find shelter in the London Underground during the The 1941 London Blitz of WWII. To cope, Alice imagines herself back in her favorite childhood story. Backed by a pop-rock score by Duncan Sheik, lyrics by Steven Sater, and book by Steven Sater and Jessie Nelson, Alice by Heart is a story of grief, wonder, and ultimately hope for a better future.
