Mark Navarro is a Baltimore-based Filipino-American sound artist, composer, music producer, audio engineer, and technologist.
His dedication to innovation and growth is a consistent theme throughout his life and artistic journey. His beginnings in music and art were as an independent D.I.Y. artist. Through years of experience, mentorship, collaboration, trial and error, survival, and perseverance, he has continued to blur genre boundaries and explore diverse mediums in his creative pursuits. His story is a testament to the resilience and creative spirit that defines his unique path. Mark was a declared finalist for the Baker Artists Awards in 2023 through the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance.
While working within the Center for Collaborative Arts and Technology at BSA, Mark continues his own artistic practice, audio engineering work, and music composition. Additionally, he creates original compositions and sound design as a key collaborator for the theatre company, Truepenny Projects.
