    A Letter from Baltimore City Public Schools:

    Dear Baltimore School for the Arts #415 Community,

    Thank you for your continued patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work through the recovery process following the recent flooding at Baltimore School for the Arts. We are writing to provide a status update on the work underway in the building.


    Work Status Update

    • Demolition in the impacted areas is now complete.
    • Remediation and repair work are actively underway.


    Next Steps

    • Crews are applying specialized treatment that helps eliminate tiny mold particles in the air and on surfaces during the cleanup process throughout impacted areas and beyond as a precautionary measure.
    • Subsequent comprehensive air quality testing will be conducted following all
      remediation, repair, and treatments.

    Instructional Plan
    Virtual learning will continue through Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Remediation work will proceed through the holiday weekend. Students and staff are expected to return to in-person learning on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, pending the results of the final air quality testing.

    Upcoming Meetings
    We encourage all stakeholders to attend the appropriate session on Tuesday February 17, 2026, to receive detailed updates and have questions addressed directly:

    • Staff Virtual Meeting: 2:00 p.m.
    • Community In-Person Meeting: 4:30 p.m. at Digital Harbor School (A listen-
      only option will also be available.

    During these meetings, we will review the remediation process, share testing information, answer questions, and outline the next steps.

    The health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We are committed to transparency and will continue to provide updates as needed. Thank you for your continued dedication to the Baltimore School for the Arts community.
